MISSIONS

CURRENT MISSIONS PARTNERS

Thank you for your generous giving to the missions department at The House.

We’re currently supporting three missions partners with monthly finances and regular prayer and encouragement. This continues to be an area of growth in our church and we look forward to expanding our missions partnerships as resources allow. Your giving fuels global missions.

INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS

ARMITAGE FAMILY

We're the Armitage family and we live in Bratislava Slovakia with our three daughters, Mia, Livia and Stella. We have been working in Europe since 2002 in many areas including leadership development, church planting, education, organizational leader and social justice initiatives. Sheldon is currently the Network Services Director for the European Freedom Network. which combats human trafficking and commercial exploitation in Europe. Anna is serving as an associate pastor at City Church in Bratislava, Slovakia. She oversees family ministries and pastoral care for the church.

Together Anna and Sheldon also give leadership to the young adults ministry called Exit, reaching students and young professionals around Slovakia.

WILLIAMS FAMILY

Scott and Melissa Williams are the proud parents of Sophia and Hudson. Two thriving but sometimes difficult teenagers who have so far successfully navigated culture shock, transition, and language learning alongside their parents and served for the last fifteen years as POAC Global Workers. As a family, they spent 12 years ministering in El Salvador, Central America but moved to Barcelona, Spain in 2019.

They are actively involved in marketplace ministry and help manage a small cafe called Frenesi, develop church expansion processes for new plants and mentor young national leaders.

Building community within the neighbourhoods where they both live and work is paramount to the Williams. They believe there is always room for one more at the table and by one conversation at a time, Spain will know the love of Christ.

LOCAL PARTNERS

REENA KERSEY - UBCO

I work as an associate campus minister at UBCO for UCM (PAOC missions). My role focuses on the pastoral care of the women in our ministry, training student leaders, facilitating small groups, and preaching at our worship gatherings.

I oversee our Red Frogs support program that provides a positive peer presence at campus parties to help safeguard this generation. Through Red Frogs we have run programs in partnership with the House church such as our grocery run shuttle, where we shuttle dorm students to the grocery stores, and our care package initiative, that we used as a way to love on students who may also struggle with food insecurity.

Ultimately I'm a missionary to the campus seeking to find ways to be present with students at UBCO.

JAGGERS FAMILY - FAMILY LIFE CANADA

Matt and Josie live in Kelowna, BC with their 3 boys - Kaydin, Liam and Nate. They serve with FamilyLife Canada as regional represtentatives for the Interior of BC. Their ministry focus is to bring help and hope to marriages and families through workshops, date nights, family nights, mentoring and weekend getaways.

Matt and Josie married on September 2, 2000. They love summer and hot weather. Travelling to see new sights, river swimming, and camping are some of their favourite activities as a family.

Just the beginning...

The House launched as a ministry to support young adults and university aged students in Kelowna. We're excited to have grown as a multigenerational community that is now supporting and serving local and global partnerships. We're faithfully looking to expand the missional impact of The House as we listen to where the spirit is calling us to serve. This is just the beginning of the missions opportunities of the House!
