INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS

 

ARMITAGE FAMILY

Sheldon and Anna Armitage live in Bratislava Slovakia with their three daughters, Mia, Livia and Stella. They have been working in Europe since 2002 in many areas including leadership development, church planting, education, organizational leader and social justice initiatives. Sheldon is currently the Network Services Director for the European Freedom Network, which combats human trafficking and commercial exploitation in Europe. Anna is serving as an associate pastor at City Church in Bratislava, Slovakia. She oversees family ministries and pastoral care for the church.

Together, Anna and Sheldon also give leadership to the young adults ministry called Exit, reaching students and young professionals around Slovakia.

 
 

WILLIAMS FAMILY

Scott and Melissa Williams are the proud parents of Sophia and Hudson. Two thriving but sometimes difficult teenagers who have so far successfully navigated culture shock, transition, and language learning alongside their parents and served for the last fifteen years as POAC Global Workers.As a family, they spent 12 years ministering in El Salvador, Central America but moved to Barcelona, Spain in 2019.

They are actively involved in a church plant in the heart of Barcelona!

Building community within the neighbourhoods where they both live and work is paramount to the Williams. They believe there is always room for one more at the table and by one conversation at a time, Spain will know the love of Christ.

 

LOCAL PARTNERS

 

JON ROTHON - YOUTH UNLIMITED

Jon serves as the Okanagan Youth Outreach Coordinator. A passionate musician and vintage collector, he enjoys comic books and guitar gear. Deeply committed to youth, Jon finds joy in helping teens realize their potential, especially those who feel overlooked or without hope. He is dedicated to demonstrating the transformative power of life with God and is actively involved in our Monday and Tuesday afternoon hot dog outreach programs.

 
 

JAGGERS FAMILY - FAMILY LIFE CANADA

Matt and Josie, based in Kelowna, BC, serve as Regional Representatives for FamilyLife Canada in the BC Interior. They are dedicated to strengthening marriages and families through workshops, mentoring, events, and retreats. Married since September 2, 2000, they enjoy spending time outdoors with their three sons—Kaydin, Liam, and Nate—pursuing activities like camping, river swimming, and travel.

 
 

METRO CHURCH

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting those experiencing homelessness in our city, we provide monthly funding to Metro Church’s outreach programs serving individuals in Downtown Kelowna. Through this partnership, we help extend practical care, compassion, and hope to some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

 
 

Carmen Pahl - Youth Unlimited

Carmen is the Program Coordinator at YFC Okanagan / Youth Unlimited. She brings over a decade of experience, including nine years with YFC Saskatoon and the past year serving in the Okanagan. Carmen is passionate about music, creativity, and building meaningful programs that help students encounter Jesus in relevant ways. Whether through worship, the arts, or active community engagement, she is committed to creating spaces where youth can grow in faith and connection

 

Josiah Hufemia - University Christian Ministries (UBCO)

 

Josh is the Campus Ministry Director for University Christian Ministries (UCM) at the University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBCO). A former international student at UBCO, his undergraduate involvement with UCM ignited a passion for serving university students and helping them grow in their faith. In his role, he offers spiritual care, discipleship, and leadership development within a dynamic Christian community that values worship, intentional community, and holistic discipleship. Josh also oversees UCM’s Red Frogs outreach program, which provides harm-reduction support at campus events, promoting student well-being and responsible decision-making.

 
 

Just the beginning...

The House launched as a ministry to support young adults and university aged students in Kelowna. We're excited to have grown as a multigenerational community that is now supporting and serving local and global partnerships. We're faithfully looking to expand the missional impact of The House as we listen to where the spirit is calling us to serve. This is just the beginning of the missions opportunities of the House!
